We've been absent as of late.........but have had several inquiries about the progress, so here you go!We've been incredibly busy but Jason & I are both dreaming of working on the girls again.
Finally you can begin to see what Lucy has to offer! This is her hull after glassing. She is going to be a VERY pretty lady!
Just like Stella, the darkest wood seen here along her stem is several strips of black walnut laminated together. We also threw in a an accent of bloodwood. The sheer line is two pieces of cedar sandwhiching a strip of bloodwood.
The deck of lucy went together pretty quickly, before coming to an abrupt halt!
Just as Jason struggled just to figure out how to transfer the pattern in your head to the surface of teh deck, I too tried several methods before finding one that was acceptable.
Jason's infill is coming along. Quite tedious work having to miter each end adn even the sides when he gets to the smaller pieces.
Stella as she sits today...petiently waiting. Jason has the compass inlay he plans to build laying on her deck.
